Petru is a passionate cyber security teacher at VU Polytechnic. He specialises in cloud computing technology and has a strong interest in penetration testing. Petru has been in the IT industry for 12 years and loves staying up-to-date on the latest cyber-attacks and IT trends, passing that knowledge onto students.

VU Polytechnic, together with WomenCan Australia are supporting women to learn new skills and find paid employment through The Placement Circle Pilot Program. Eligible participants will train to become a care worker by undertaking the Certificate III in Individual Support and through access to peer support and industry placements.

Kira Annear was a participant of the Daughters of the West health and wellbeing program run through the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation (WBCF) and a participant in the 2019-2020 Western Bulldogs Community Foundation Leadership Academy ten-week program, delivered by Victoria University Polytechnic. Kira shares how the program has helped her rediscover her strengths, values and most especially, how to use her skills to help others.
